Four privacy protocols, each hiding something specific. Confidential crossing on NEAR Intents and Monero are live today; the Solana ZK pool and Zcash shielded are coming soon. See the full cost before you start. Velum adds 0% to any of them.
Your deposit and your payout aren't publicly linked. Automatic wherever NEAR allows it, so there is nothing to switch on. Costs the same as any NEAR Intents swap.
Automatic · 0.2% NEAR feeA zero-knowledge proof hides which deposit paid which withdrawal. The pool is Privacy Cash. Round amounts blend in best; the busier the pool, the stronger the cover.
About 3–5 min · 0.35% + about $0.63Your coin becomes shielded ZEC in a wallet made in your browser, where the sender, the receiver and the amount are hidden, then leaves it as the coin you want.
Several minutes · Zcash network feesMonero hides the sender, the receiver and the amount (ring signatures and stealth addresses). On its own it is a single deposit; your coins are held for a few minutes on the way.
About 15 min · spread in the rateNo step switched on. A normal public swap at the best price, straight on NEAR Intents or Relay. Best for swaps where speed and price come first.
Seconds to minutes · protocol fee onlyUse one or several, in the order you choose. The route draws the path your money takes, and the cost and the expected time include every step. Works in Swap and in Pay.
Deep link: /swap?…&privacy=zk,xmrWhat every private swap gets, whichever protocols you switch on.
The steps that need a wallet make one here. Keys are encrypted, never leave it except in the recovery file you save, and each wallet ends empty.
Nothing to sign up for, no wallet to connect, no analytics. There is no Velum-side profile tying your swaps together.
Confidential NEAR requests, the Monero step's orders and the ZK pool's withdrawals go through Velum's pass-throughs. Velum keeps no record of them.
Every step's time and cost are in the total the swap page shows, in dollars. Velum fee 0%.
Everyone who touches a swap, and what each one can see. Privacy protocols break the public links between your wallets; they don't make you anonymous.
Every on-chain transaction: which addresses sent and received, the amounts and the times. In a standard swap that ties the wallet you paid from to the address you receive in. That is the link the privacy protocols break.
NEAR Intents or Relay issues your deposit address and fills the swap. Each sees the addresses and amounts of the part it carries. Privacy Cash's pool holds SOL between deposit and withdrawal; the Monero step's services each see one side, never both.
Small pass-throughs forward some requests and store none of it. Your browser keeps a running swap and, for privacy steps, the temporary wallets' keys, encrypted and here only. Like any wallet, it relies on a clean device.
On the swap page, the Privacy box has one switch per step. Turn on as many as you like, set their order, and the route draws the path your money takes.
